I bought a panther chameleon egg from chameleons 101. its been 6 month and I was wondering when its might hatch.

they said April 1 but its not showing any signs of hatching

And the egg is still viable? I honestly do not know, I personally would not buy an egg. Typically panther eggs can take more like 9 months to hatch. I do not know how long they hold them there before sending them out.

Thats good make sure your not messing with it. Do you have everything set up for a hatchling? These are quite a bit harder than a 3-4 month old cham. Is this your first chameleon?

I am not messing with it and unfortunately its is my first Cham. but its definitely not my first exotic pet.

The "vendor" should have given you the information needed to make his product successful.
When you notice the egg sweating the time is near.

Can you share a photo---If my memory serves me right: Salty Dog had a baby hatch after about 1 year (plus or minus months--don't remember exactly).
April 1 baby--- Just like me..

@spislandboy …you aren’t leaving The lid off the container for long when you check on it are you? That will cool the air and change the humidity and likely make it take longer to hatch...it could even toughen The shell so it can’t hatch.

I know you have to check…because you can’t leave the hatchling in there for a long long time once it’s hatched…but, as I’ve indicated there are downsides to checking too often.

I am guessing you did not find this page on their website. You might want to read through it. But there it says 6-12 months for eggs to hatch...
