I have an 11 month old jackson. I have had him for about a month now and he seems to be settling in well. He loves going outside and his urate looks creamy white. But heres my problem, he seems to only eat crickets. For several days I tried offering him dubia's and superworms but he just ignored them. I took them out for 2 days thinking he may be on a hunger strike but as soon as I put a cricket in his cage he mobilized quite quickly to eat it. Anyone facing a similar problem where their cham will only eat one thing?

He may nto liek them, or they may not move as much.

sometimes chams wont eat bugs that dont move alot

I have been thinking the exact same thing. He seems to not realize they are food. But I would like to try and get him to cup feed so that when I am out of town for a few days my parents can easily monitor what he eats. Any recommendations on feeders that will catch his eye? I realize one feeder is not a healthy diet.

Silkworms and Hornworms are good.

Brightly colored are good.

for the roaches you can try feeding him with some tongs first, or if you arent squeamish, hand feeding them, to show him its food.
you can also just let him not eat for a few days and only offer roaches.

I dont mind holding the roaches so maybe Ill try transitioning hand feeding with crix first then offer roaches when he gets comfortable. Thanks for the advice!

BTW any good websites to get some hornworms from?
