Hey there people! Im thinking on getting a baby cherry headed tortoise.
If i get it i’m planning on sharing my chamelons cage with the tortoise on the bottom. Its a horizontal type cage thats pretty big for the both of them, and since my chameleon doesnt go to the bottom, do you think it’d be okay fr the tortoise to co-exist with my cham?
My chameleon doesnt attack my hand or get mad at me when I take him out so.. Would it be fine for them?

They need huge enclosures and why would you have a chameleon in a horizontal cage? On top of that they come from different continents and have different needs/habitats. There is also risk for illness that one of them doesn't have immunity for. Should not be done to answer your question.

Alright. I was just making sure,

I saw a panther with turtles in a Belgian zoo... Ok, his enclosure was like 8 meters wide and 3 meters deep so he probably didnt even know he shared his space.
First time i saw a chameleon in a zoo too...

They also had turtles with snakes, savannah monitors, crocodiles and iguanas... Funny how reptiles know that turtles arent good food.

It's not that the reptiles know that turtles aren't good food, it's that animals in zoos are fed consistently and don't have to forage - if they never get hungry and their food is literally delivered to them on a platter why would they go to the trouble of hunting and killing a turtle?
