I noticed my Chameleon is always awake as soon as I walk into his room--
Scenario 1: Yemen/veiled
But sometimes, not often at all he will be sleeping and nothing can wake him up. Yesterday he did the same thing, I went into his cage to drop off 2 wild caught mantis-- he goes crazy when he sees them, he stalk them first then eats them. For some reason, he was in deep sleep, not even water spray and a little poke didn't even bother him-- he was knocked out, didn't even open his eyes. Does that mean he's taking a deep sleep or in a deep state of sleep? Nothing could have woken him up. I wonder if other Chameleon owner has seen that.
Scenario 2: Madagascar/panther
This one just started doing this recently. He's very small and tried to avoid me when I have to open his cage to feed him. I leave him alone, no interaction, just want him to grow well and he's hes maybe 4-5 months old I'll handle him and bring him out.
He does this thing while he's sitting vertically on a vertical pothos plant branch-- he turns like a clock going counter clockwise so if you look at him he turns like a clock to hide his body and does the same thing if you try to go to the other end like he's f*cking with me? lol. has anything seen this behavior before? he does that so can you can't make any eye contact, so he's not bothered, he does it seemlessly as if you try to look at him, he's gone by doing this clock thing he does, and when you try being smart and try to see him from a different angle, he somehow does the click thing again and seamlessly disappears.
