Chameleon black spots

I've got a female veiled, she's a little over a year. recently she's been developing black dots around her eyes and top of her head. I've attached a picture. They do fade and get darker. I thought they might be from distress but when they appear the rest of her body is light green. They just started within the past month or so. Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks!!

Ever figure anything out about the black spots? My cham has just developed the same thing, only on one eye, that we think has an infection it is closed all the time. Been to vet and got antibiotic but it hasn't helped. Black spots are new today. Thanks

My panther cham also has a couple spots like that. I only noticed them after she shed. I don't know what it is either if you find out, let me know! :)

Is it possible she is rubbing herself on the side of the screen cage she is in? I've noticed my male veiled rubbing his head on the screen and those developed. I moved his branch away from the side of the case and they slowly went away.

Just a wild guess here, but could the spots be a form of a zit? So if there wasn't enough misting going on when the chameleon shed, perhaps its pores got plugged up with old skin/dirt/cage crud or perhaps hard water?
