I get so excited for this kinda stuff yayyyy
welcome to chameleon cribs, where i show you how to pimp your cham cage and have a great time doing it
Okay I had an old cage that i bought for 50 bucks at a pet store, it was a great deal for the other stuff it came with and considering I needed a cham cage asap, roger that
The metal screen got rusted after one season but it was still a very nice cage, I rescreened it upon discovery that I could a few days ago, it turned out very nice
I added digital probes for temps and humidity and hot glued them on the top of my cage, I also have a temp readout behind of my ambients, the one mounted on top is of my basking area, its reads low at the moment because his misting cooled it about 10 degrees, not really but it always goes down momentarily when the probe is wet.
I will attach some photos and update more, as I add more vines, vertically and horizontally
New for this cage is the addition of dual locker shelfs to help keep the small plants elevated, i'm happy about it.
around my cage in my room, I plan to mount hooks on the ceiling to hang my lights, I don't have much height room so I'm going to have to move some stuff around. i am building a pro mist setup, i already have most of the parts and an outdoor version assembled on a timer.
On these hooks I'm also going to hang basket plants, some nice orchids and other in some nice wood baskets you know something fresh for the ladies lol jk, I'll be working on my plant uploads as well, I just got a new camera, be excited everyone and oh yea my garden is off the chain this year, tropical container plants are so fun once you setup irrigation and fertilize springtime baby
the piece of plastic on the wall is to create a night and morning divider between sleeping me and sleeping cham, as well as bright lights above my head while i try to sleep in the morning when the timer kicks on, i have the same material behind the wall, flowing into my tub to create a waterfall collecting effect, and i carefully spray 45 degree angles from the sides or straight on if you get that when my pump arrives and i assemble my automist, i plan to water proof a touch more, and also i have the parts to do the plumbing so the collected water will run down from my tub through an on off valve and into a smaller collection bucket so i can dump it every few days or so, very easy stuff
lush plants, this is like chameleon cribs
hahahah no this is really like chameleon cribs
hahhaa sorry couldn't resist i'm a baller like that i joke i kid
back to reality that tv is sooooooo photoshopped in
digital readout probes by exoterra i love it
note how I used twisty ties in between my aluminum caging when I put it together to help mount my intrumentation and vines, im sure this has been used before but its good for new owners to note this rather than try to poke holes in there metal screen for misters and whatever else
before misting
during misting but not really fired up
