chameleon dying ?

my chameleon threw up that weird yellowish mucus while hanging upside down and seems week and looks skinny

That chameleon is either dehydrated or vary sickly or maybe both his eyes are sunk in and he looks vary frail please post pics of his complete enclosure
 
maybe give him a warm water shower and see if he drinks. if he does you'll need to do it often to re-hydrate him.
what do you use for vitamins?
 
I would definitely give him a shower treatment with a live plant ( put him in a shower on a live plant turn the shower on so it is luke warm (NOT HOT) and face the shower head against the wall so it mists him and the plant lightly do this for about 30-45min and constantly watch him he will drink of the plant and rehydration himself it may make him feel alot better

okay i will try it hopefully thats the problem and hes not dying
