i was thinking and i figured i should start a thread of what every cham owner should have in their first aid kit.

a few things i could think of are; baby food, syringes, gauze, betidine, polysporine, pedialytye/gatoraide, honey, needles.

if you know of anything else to add please note it, or if you have a cham first aid kit please state what you have in one.

what are the honey and baby food and syringes for? and why would you need an emrgency kit? (not that its not a good idea-- i think thats great that incase anything happens they'll be ok, but what could happen?

baby food i dont know really i got that list off of a rescue website.
honey will keep wounds clean and will taste good if you get some on your finger. if you read the link it covers everything. just incase you cant see a vet right away.

Hello!:)

Syringe is for force feeding, administering medicine, and so on.
Baby food can be substituted with Repta aid.
I have used it once when my chameleon is stressed out from Albon therapy.
I think it is one of the thing that help him survive.

First aid kit are used for emergencies when your vet is not available right away.
Exotic vet aren't exactly plentiful in here.
Chameleon is not an ordinary pet. Thus, your ordinary animal hospital might not be able to help out much.
Since you cannot plan sickness, the aid kit is a good idea to keep around.

I haven't been updating that thread since I am still trying to get the medicine from all over the place.
