Chameleon Mouth Opened!

Hi all

my female panther chameleon has her mouth opened for a period of time now, i dont think she has lung infection because there isn't bubbles or wheezing sounds. I thought she was overheated so i turned off the lights but she is still having her mouth opened. heres a photo. sorry for low quality

She's too hot. Some reptiles regulate their body temp by opening their mouth to cool off.

Are you able to get an ambient temp reading of the cage?

If you don't provide us with details like the temperature or whether she might be gravid or anything else we can't give you a proper answer.in most of your posts you just ask a question and then never follow up on the thread...so I'm not going to try to help you this time e.

No. She is only 10 months old!

Her cage is about 25c tops
