chameleon not eating properly?

So I have a 9 month old panther chameleon. He is an ambilobe and seems healthy. He seems to be a late bloomer in terms of color development ( his picture is posted below to give an idea of what he looks like). So my problem is as follows: I have been feeding him dubai roaches because they are odorless and easy to keep. He loved them and slowly became less interested. I mixed up his diet by offering him super worms and some isopod that I have for some research I do at my college. Lately he refuses to eat dubia roaches and only will eat worms and isopods. Any body have any suggestions? He hasn't eaten a full meal in a day or two because he won't eat the dubias. Also, please note I dust with calcium without d3 everyday, and multivitamin with calcium d3 every 2 weeks. Also, he has she'd about 3 times in the 5-6 months I have owned him. Is this normal?

Thanks guys!

Unfortunately, I have been battling the same scenario for a couple of weeks. I have had my guy since he was 3 months and he is now 1 year. In all of that time he was primarily cup fed Dubia roaches. I would also give him hornworms, silkworks, and crickets as treats from time to time just to mix it up a bit.

Then one day he just stopped eating. I though he was just bored of the dubias so I ordered some blue bottle flies and he went crazy for them. The problem was that I only had a limited number of blue bottle flies, so I ordered a bunch of crickets, put some in his feeing cup and.... nothing. He showed no interest in them, however, he eagerly picked off the ones that escaped the cup.

So I got a large male Adult dubia and placed it on the side of his cage where it began to walk around and soon my guy chased it down and ate it. It turns out that he just suddenly decided that he didn't want to cup feed any longer. If it is climbing on the cage it is "Game on" though.

I don't know if this is what is happening for you, but I thought I would share my experience.
