Chameleon NOT sleeping?

His lights have been off for about two hours and it's almost pitch black in the room. I got him today at the reptile expo, but I've never heard of a chameleon not sleeping. He's not even ruled up, he's stretched out on his basking branch. Could this be stress? When I brought him home he didn't eat (as was expected) but he did drink straight from the nozzle of the hand mister, I just made it drip and put it up near his face. He drank quite a lot, but that was the only thing I considered abnormal, but I assumed it was from not having a drink all day at the expo. Other than that, there are no obvious health concerns.

That is odd, but just give him a little time to settle in. Check in the morning and see if he's sleeping. There is almost always an adjustment period for them.

Hey guys, he's asleep now. Must have been nervous or something, which is understandable. Pics Tomorrow!!!!

When they go to expos and shows, their timing can get all off. Some start and end later than their light cycles. Plus they can be moved from cage to cage, traveling in a car, unknown helper messing with them, etc....

I'm looking forward to the pictures :D glad he finally settled in and went to sleep! I know when I first got my Panther I basivally left him alone for a good week. I'd sneak in and toss some bugs in then get out of the room fast. He's now super friendly. That first week is hard on them.
