Chameleon puppy whimpering?

We were getting our veiled out today so we could give him his dose of reptaid and when we were just getting the dropper in his mouth he made.. this little whiny, whimpering sound - like a sad puppy. It was the most heart breakingly adorable sound i've ever heard come from a chameleon.

Has anyone else's chameleon made this sound?

The sound he made was it sort of a deep breathing sound? Any poping noise? Thy to get him very close to your ear and listen for any sounds, he could have a uri.

He only made it the once, i'm not sure if I could get him to do it again. I'll keep my phone handy for recording tomorrow when I go to give him the reptaid , see if he makes the noise.

I have heard my oldest male panther make a chirping sound when he is doing the full stretching yawn prior to a shed. Its air that getting squeezed out from the side of his mouth while he is contorting his jaws to stretch. Wish I had gotten it on tape. It did sound a little like a wimper.
