Chameleon Questions

Hi all,

I have a year and a half old female Jackson Chameleon. I have two questions-

1. I recently got a few 10.0 UVB's for my bearded dragon, so I could stock up. But I thought that my chameleon's 5.0 UVB was sorta old, so I was wondering can I use a 10.0 reptisun UVB for my Jackson Chameleon or is that too much?

2. I am not exactly sure how much she should be eating. I know how much calcium powder, vitamins, gutload etc she needs, but I am just not sure how many insects to feed her. I sometimes just put feeders in her cage to free roam, but then I dont know how much she ets. She is sorta scared of me, so if I feed her by tweezers, she only eats about 2-3 feeders. Is this ok?

Thank you all for your advice!:)

Here is some good Jackson's care info, although I think the basking area should be about 5 degrees cooler than is suggested in the 1st one and supplements should be given as a light dusting of calcium without D3 and without phosporus every other feeding, calcium with D3 but without phosphorus once or twice a month and a multivitamin once a month. Too much is as harmful as too little; especially for Jackson's and other "montane" chameleons.
10.0 might be too strong or not depending on how far away it is from your cham. Bulbs need to be replaced every 6 months because they put out less and less UV at this point, even though the bulb still lights up.
