Chameleon Slowly Growing

So as some of you probably know already, my chameleon has not been growing that much. Since then I have increased the variety and amount I give him. During this time, I also purchased a scale to monitor all of my reptiles weight. My only question is, he grew 2 grams in 8 days. I'm not too sure if that is a lot and need your help. He started at 6 grams and is now 8. I know he should be close to 30 at his age but still need to go to the vet to check for parasites.

I have heard this from many people and I am going to get one as soon as my parents are on holidays. The closest herp vet is a hour away

You can probably take a fecal to a normal vet. I'm pretty sure dogs and cats can get it I would call and ask a local one

I have already contacted my local vet about a week ago and they are able to do the fecal but in Canada they also have to do an examination on the animal before they can give medicine. So either way I would have to go to the vet and hour away to get the meds

My chameleon finally did his first shed yesterday, is this a sign of him growing or will they just do it no matter what
