Chameleons are considered generally short living reptiles.
The article presented recently to the global community demonstrates, it is NOT true at all.
Chameleons can live quite long! In captivity, not accident or diseases are the reasons for short lifespan, but wrong husbandry. Each fault cuts from the maximum life expectations time down... The Yemen chameleons, as an example, Can live up to 14, possibly 16 years long. But their average life span in captivity is only 3-5 years if at all...
It is time to take the husbandry really seriously and close the gaps!
