Chameleons sick, constipation dark colour and weak.

So to start I live in rural Canada the nearest exotic vet is 8? Hours away if I'm lucky. There is breeders here but I'm likely to get worse info then from this site (I mean that as I'd get good advice from here)

My chameleon is a 1 1/2 to 2 year old veil chamaelon female. Sally lime greenish in colour. The last week or so she has been a VERY dark colour almost black and has been shuffling around her cage. She has some poo stuck in her vent, just the white part and is having trouble gripping things and bad depth perception, she has always had bad depth perception but worse then usual.

Has she ever laid eggs before? She very well could have eggs and needs a place to lay. If she does have eggs, and does not lay them, she will become eggbound and die. That might account for her moving around the cage looking for somewhere to lay. Does she look fatter to you? It is hard to tell from the pics you posted. Sunken eyes can mean dehydration, but that also happens when they are going downhill. Your pic is unclear of what is sticking out of her vent. There is a condition caused prolapse where part of their organs comes out of their vent. It will dry up if not tended to properly and this can be fatal also, so you might have more than one thing going on. If you can post some more pictures that are clearer and brighter that would be great. I am attaching a video for you on how to set up a laying bin for egg laying if you do not have one already.

No she has not ever had eggs, we got her when he was very young. As far as I know she has never had any contact with anther chameleon. We bought her when her was about 2 months old.

Today I thought she was dead And started to clean her cage to find she is still breathing and alive. It almost seems like she is depressed. She hasn't moved her legs today and very lightly grips with her front, no movement from her back. She still has control of her tail but is essentially not moving at all. Her eyes are open and moving. She has. Avery bad odour to her I have just bather her.

They do not need contact with a male to produce eggs. They can lay infertile clutches of eggs from about 6 months on. If you set up the laying bin and she will not lay I would get her to a vet and have her xrayed for eggs. Your picture is still unclear to see what it is. It sure does not look like poop, but really does not look like a prolapse from the pic. What I am seeing looks white and fuzzy. If what sticking out has not dried up, then put some ky jelly on it to keep it moist. If it already has dried up then it is too late. If her eyes are still sunken in, I would not mess around and get her to a vet. She is not depressed, she is sick or eggbound possible and should be seen by a vet.

Yes, my guess is that she is with eggs. I would get a lay bin in asap. If she doesnt lay in a couple days. I would get to a vet. You said 8 hrr, but this is a very serious problem, in veileds especially. And once they get too weak, it is very tough for them to recover.
