Chams eating is tapering down? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

OK, so I have owned a Female Senegal now for about 2 weeks. She seems to be full grown ( don't know her exact age ) But from everything I have read she has to be done growing at this size. This is the first cham I have ever owned, I've posted several other "please help me" type threads and have got a wealth of info so I am up to date on supplements, gut loading and all that, following through religiously. My main concern is when I first got her she was eating 3 crickets a day on average. She has slowly tapered down to one a day, and for the past 3 days it's been one cricket every other day. Is this normal? Should I be worried? She is drinking great, so that isn't an issue. She went to the vet 2 days ago and got a clean bill of health, no parasites ( this floored me considering that she was more than likely wild caught) The only thing I can think of as far as going from 3 a day down to 1 every other day is she was malnourished at the pet store? I know they tend to get bored with certain insects, but she seems to have no interest in anything but crickets when she does eat. Again main concern is this enough to sustain a senegal cham? I just don't want her to be unhealthy.

well I was gonna say she could have eggs but if you just had her at the vet he would have noticed that I am sure. How about trying some other feeders? oops, I see you ha ve offered other things...sorry!

mabey she was really hungry when you got her and shes ok now, mabey parasites have something to do with it, mabey you changed your feeder size, mabey she doesnt really like your feeder size and would prefur another size so she waits a day but when she doesnt find another sizer she just eats that one, mabey feeder bordem take your pick :D

Mine has done the same thing in terms of tapering the eating, and he is about 13 months old, so I think that age is when things slow down for them. I have invested in a variety of feeders like silkworms, hornworms, super worms, butter worms, dubia roaches, and waxworks to perk up his appetite. He still doesn't eat much but does take in a worm or two every day and still looks good, so I stopped worrying about it.

Thanks a lot! That took some worry off my mind. I tried superwoms but she seems to have no interest in those ( think they might be too big) Gonna try some waxworms. Like to try roaches but I can't find any stores that carry them around here.
