Changing frequense UV-light bulbs

How often do you change the UV lights?

The consensus is about every 6 months or so. I have my lights off alot cause my cham is outside in another cage or free ranges so I go 9 months. If you get a UVB meter that could be the true way to test the light. Might be cheaper than replacing the bulbs if they don't need to be.

i replace my retisun bulbs at 8m and my reptiglow at 6m, but i am cionsidering a uvb meter now cause its getting pricey...
