Cheap Fluorescent Fixtures

Ive seen people on this forum saying they got their fluorescent lighting fixtures for 10-15 dollars. whhheeeeereeeeee???????????? im thinking about changing from the solar glo to the 2 bulb setup due to some recomendations from people on here.

i ordered a set-up from "light your reptiles". they are a sponsor, 2 bulbs and a fixture about $100, for me well worth it. professional looking and really makes my enclosure "pop".

Home depot for sure I got a 36" hardwire fixture for $23 and then I got a plug converter for $10. Took less than 10 min to setup and it works great

I'm very interested in this to. I'm going to Lowe's tomorrow for some OSB board for some new cages do you think they'd have them as well?

Lowes has 4 ft t8 fixtures with cord for $15. The smaller fixtures cost more.

Walmart has 24" for less than $10, at least in PA. Lowes has the 36" for $30 but you have to wire it yourself.

So completely true!
We now have two cages in our room, and dubias (another room) - still makes me cringe, but I love our chameleons!

Be sure to line the fixture with aluminum foil. These fixtures have bad 'reflectors' if you can even call them that.

I got the same one. I think it was $8.99 and it fits an 18 inch uvb bulb, but they had different lengths.
