Check up. He's acting funny

My veiled had an episode last nite jus before his lights went off I noticed him laying on floor of viv. I left him there and went to work. Wen I got home 6 hours later he was still laying there asleep now. So I picked him up and he straight away started moving. I let him go bk to his vines and he seemed ok.

Wen woke this afternoon I fed him an watched him having a drink.

I had a lil nap and jus woke bk up and he was at the bottom of the viv again wr he was last nite. I went over and opened his cage an he went straight for a log witch he ran straight up fed him another cricket an he ate it straight away.

Any1 have any ideas y he doin this

My thermometer is a digital 1 with a probe I can place were I like to check the temps. This the first time he has dun this and I haven't changed anythn since I first put him in there. It's like he's looking around checking things out.

I have put a tub with sum spring greens in if he goes down there agen.

It's strange but he's still very active and eating and drinking

Yes all readings r ok I check every few days. My thermometer is a exo terra 1 and have used these for years never had problem.

Yes he has plenty on places to hide behind by his basking spot so he thinks he can't b seen.

2 real plants 3 fake 1s 4 exo terra vines there is plenty of things for him.

I was wondering if you don't have a female and maybe she has eggs to lay. Does your cham have little spurs on the back of the back feet? It was hard to tell in the pics but it looked like there wasn't any and therefore you would have a female. Post some pics of the back feet

Also, is that a heat pad under your viv on the floor? I am wondering if you mostly glass enclosure is overheating the little guy???

The breeder assured me it was male he's been keeping them for. 15 yrs. but if u guys think it female I will have to speak to him.
I have turnned heat pad off now cos get stated down there. The glad is not warn to the touch and its only a small 1 but its off now.
Also it's only 16 weeks can they lay eggs at that age.

It's still not very clear. Are you able to get a pic from directly behind him with his heel area showing explicitly? That is the view we need!

Veiled chameleons are extremely easy to sex so if you've gotten a female by mistake, from an experienced breeder that would be very weird!!

Av jus picked him up took a while to wake him/she up but wen awoke he was very alert I lifted him out and girlfriend took the worst pic ever before I noticed had put him bk he retreated to the back now. Gona wait abit the try get him out agen an get a proper pic

IMO, she is female ... (my husband thinks so too) She looks just like a girl we once had. I am guessing about 6 months old?

if your temps aren't right he could be going to that flex tape because its warm, also he could be trying to escape heat as well. double, and triple check EVERYTHING.

I don't see spurs which would indicate a male,but it is hard to tell in those pics.

It looks to me like the spurs are there... It's hard to tell though based on the picture... I'm looking at the pictures on my iPhone though. Maybe on a bigger screen it would be easier to tell.

He/she is meant to b 16 weeks old.
And really hope it's not female.
Will not b happy with the breeder who sold me him/she.
I have different answers so not sure what to do. Anymore ppl think they know
