I had a surprise from my Cherry Headed Red Footed Tortoise (Geochelone carbonaria) happen earlier this year. My Cherry Headed Red Footed Tortoise AKA "Darth Maul" laid a clutch of 7 eggs. One of the eggs molded over in the begining of incubation. However the other six are still good after many months and possibly are a parthenogenesis clutch of eggs. That is six eggs are going good after many months. These were suposed to hatch after three to four months. However they are good and going on eight month. The golden rule never throw out eggs that have not molded over. Darth Maul is being kept with a male Yellow Footed Tortoise "Obi Whan".
