Past 1 month chester has been very bright colours. At first i assumed it was its cause its a colder month but then wouldnt he be darker colours to absorb more heat?
It basically looks like hes in his pjs everyday all day, but he doesn't sleep during the day. He still goes to bask, eats fast, etc.

He has 100% slowed down and im hoping its because of the cold. When i try to pick him up this month he just lets me and doesnt try to run away or anything, BUT he grips really strong onto branches. Usually when i try to scoop him he gets mad for a second, now he just like has 0 reaction and it makes me nervous.

Has anyone has similar experiences and found out something was wrong? He's never mouth gaping.

These are not his normal colours. he's usually a darker green and only rainbow when mad :(
Even when hes basking hes bright yellows?

***in comments is good example of his colour change. from darker to pastel ?

Your showing his left side to me in the last photos…but if the right knee is the same, then I agree, its colour.
I think all my photos are of the right side! but I could just be tired hahaha. If it isn't patterns what do you think could cause that? Vitamin C deficiency? His grip is STRONG and he gets lots of calcium and his arcadia uvb is still under its lifespan. Would you think something like gout?

Not sure if it’s the same as what your guy is going thru. My panthers go thru what I think of as the winter blahs. Their colors fade out to pastel, and this year one of my boys was just kind of ‘meh ‘…not as active or as hungry for about a month. The colors stay faded for 2-3 months. I don’t think all panthers go thru this change and I’ve no idea what triggers it. It goes away as quickly as it came on.

Spike seems to do this as well. He's still in his "bland" colors. Which if he gets mad/scared he still gets pretty bright lol but in general he definitely has that bland look to him during these winter months.
