Christmas Pic

I know, I know. It's way too early for Christmas pictures.:) I have taken a few and was going to hold off until next month to post them, but I shot this one yesterday and just couldn't wait that long. I post to a few photo sites and will wait to upload it there, or at least try. I thought my chameleon looked so cute this would be the place to show some people.

That is without a doubt, the best photograph that I have seen this year.

Giesle, you are a MASTER at chameleon photography!

You should seriously think about producing your own Chameleon calendar with some of your photographs.... I would certainly buy one!!

Thanks. Glad you all like it. Speaking of Christmas cards. I shot this one a few weeks ago and was thinking it would make a good Christmas card and I have tried for some time to make it feel right by putting red words on it, like "Merry Christmas", but I just can't seem to make it work. It's just not balanced right. I have come close by strategically placing those words at the top and then I would I guess photoshop in little red computer generated bells, candy canes, snow flakes, etc. in the empty space at the bottom. I have about given up and haven't even looked at it in a week. Haven't showed anybody until now either.

Let me also say, you have very patient chameleons too!
Look at those guys, they are probably waiting for an exotic mantid or two.:D
 
That is the cutest thing I have ever seen! Your dog is amazing! My dog would eat my chameleon in one bite! I also love the other photo with the candy canes. Your photos are the best!
 
HAAA HAAAAAAAAAAAAA - I LOVE how the hat pokes up so high on the cham - ok, I have my $ set aside for the coffee table book of chams ( and I dont even have a coffee table, but I will get one of those too just for my book :p ) you know if you are going to keep posting such AWESOME !! pic, we are gonna keep bugging you on that book ;) :D

Little Leaf and I are going to drive you nuts until you agree to this coffee table book (and we'll split 10% of the profits!) :D Excellent pics as always - and I don't think the candy cane picture needs any words, I think they would just detract.

I like it how it is - but the little guy on the left- LOL - his face is like " I'm going to get you in your sleep for making me wear this hat ! "
how you get them to stay put- I can not even get mine to stay on the scale anymore, let alone sit still for a pic- and those tiny hats - so cute - how do you find such cute tiny things for them ? just love your work !! :)

Haha. Yeah, that was the first and only time I have put his hat on and he didn't like me putting it on, but he did get used to it pretty quick. I figured out after that to just do it super fast and it's over in literally one second and then they are fine. They probably stayed put because it was the end of the road(candy cane). The one in the dog pic was definitely not staying put in that picture. He was moving pretty fast over the top of my dog's hat. I found those tiny hats at Walmart glued to Christmas ornaments. They were way too wide, so I cut a piece out of each side of the seam on the back and sewed it back together to the correct size. For the straps I got one of those cheap party hats with the thin elastic strap and cut off pieces of those and just tied a knot on each side after poking the appropriate holes in the hats. Thanks again.
 
I'm up for the coffee table book. Those are just amazing. What about green letters for Merry Christmas. It doesn't have to be red, I do agree that it just wouldn't work but green is also for Christmas and I think that would give it more color change, not so much red.

Thanks for the suggestion. The problem is more the balance of the picture to insert the words, mostly due to the cham on the left being larger and sticking up farther.
