Im just curiouse what eveyone does for cleaning, how often and with what? store bought mixes or good ol bleach and water. I have a screen enclosure with 2 large plants and paper towel sub, one panther with big poos, lol.......

thnx Fishfreak:)

About half of my chams poo in specific areas (we can't all be as lucky as Brad, whos male uses a toilet!) so I put paper towels down. The rest are sporadic pooers, so you just have to clean as they go.

I usually do a thorough cleaning on the weekend, using just regular disinfectant spray, like 409 or lysol. Just on the bottom cover. I spray it on a paper towel and wipe it down, then wipe it with a damp clean towel. I also go through the plants and cut off the leaves that have poo on them. If it gets too bad, I'll take the plant out and wash it down.

I'm sure some other owners are more meticulous, but this system has worked for me.

most of my cham poo makes it in the plants, so i take all the plants off and give them a light 360 blast.

then i take a scour pad and some 1/15 bleach solution and rub down the bottom and THOUROUGHLY rinse

if there is any debris that I can't get out by hand, 4 screws relases the bottom wall, and I know some cages have the swivel feature, that will give you an open to hose blast debris out of. Bleach can leave some serious fumes and residue around so make sure you wash it twice as much as you think you should with fresh water

i clean regularly as I see debris and once a week i do a thourough job , and sometimes a lil more regularly outdoors

I like this routine (as it is close to my own) although, I probably don't wipe the floor every weekend.
I never really do total tear the cage apart and scrub everything down cleaning .... maybe this spring:rolleyes:
