cleaning

i have a 3 month old chameleon and i've had him for 5 days so far, ive been cleaning up his poops etc with paper towels and hot water, been misting his cage etc but i'm just wondering how will i go about cleaning his cage and doing it properly ? he doesnt let me pick him up yet so its hard to get in amongst for cleaning, how does everyone clean there cage of a few month old chameleon??

You only really need to clean the bottom, you can just wipe it out. Instead of offering your hand to get him out of his enclosure, try offering a stick to climb onto. Then you can just put him in another container while you do a clean up. I put my boy in his free range area when I clean his cage out, or any other work that needs to be done.

ok then, so will i just clean the floors every day with water amd paper towels then once every 4 weeks clean the whole cage and leafs vines etc???

Unless there are dead bugs or waste, I usually only clean mine once a week. Then a full cleaning once a month.
