CoCo nails keep breaking

When I came home from work I realize that my chameleon was bleeding. His nails fell off is that normal. I have a lot of branches in his cage, I don't know what is wrong.

Do you have a screen cage? They can get their nails caught in the mesh. If they are bleeding, keep an eye out for infection. It can happen if they get torn out.

Yes, I do have a screen cage. I brought a lot of branches so he does not have to climb the screen.
