Color preferences (for chameleons)

I was wondering about the color preferences for where the chameleons like to be. I've had my veiled for a few days, and I let him explore a bit outside of his cage, under close supervision. I've noticed that he really seems to prefer green places and green things, and I wasn't sure if that was normal. It makes sense, since he's green, but I was just curious! Thanks

When I first got my male veiled he seemed to like it up top where all the green stuff was more, (more stuff to hide in I guess). I believe as your Cham gets used to his home and becomes more comfortable with his surroundings he will begin adventureing to the darker areas of the cage . Thats what mine did.

Chams are attracted by height, bright light, warmth, and a place where they can watch the world go by without being out in plain view themselves.
