Color question

hello everyone. I've had my Panther since April 24. He was super small when I got him. I got him from a breeder at Repticon in Costa Mesa ca. The breeder said he was old enough to purchase so I got him. He has gone through three sheds since with me but still very little colore is showing. I think he is 2.5-3 months old. Not too sure. But I see other chams on here at that age with awesome coloring already. Mine is still brown. Is this normal or is my Cham falling behind. He is also pretty big I think for being maybe 3 months old max. Here are some pics. Any advice would be helpful.

I am not that familiar with Panthers, but I think it may be a little early for the colors. Although I have seen some younger ones getting color i think it is more common around the 5 month mark to start showing.

I see some nice blues on the cheeks and sides though.

Shedding that often means he growing fast, that's a good thing! You didn't mention which locale he is, but from the pictures I'm guessing blue bar ambilobe. But even within the same locales there are different rates of color development, heck even within the same clutch there are different rates. You've had him less than 2 months, be patient the color will come!

He is growing really fast. I guess patients is not one of my virtues lol. I just see the other chams progression on here and see theirs are coloring up nicely at three months. I will have to wait and see. The locale of him is ambilobe. The breeder at the show had his sire next to him. He was all red with yellow bars. I'm wondering if mine will turn out similar as I see some green. Either way I just want a happy healthy Cham

Every baby chams have their own color development rates....Im sure urs will be beautiful one day soon!!
Have u notice one of ur school girl classmate... full mouth of bracelet ,piggy ponytail, then one day ,she developed into a beautiful woman like the ugly duck turn into a graceful swan.
Even the chameleons in the same clutch each every single one have their own different growth and color up rates..
It is not when the baby cham will have color, but it sure is when they are fully grown n color fully showing.
This is one of my baby boy duckling....and good thing comes for boys and gals that can wait:)

George the guy in my avatar had almost no color till about 5 months
and then it was just light green with blue bars

I have 3 baby boys currently all close to the same age as yours
1 shows the colors of a girl ( maybe he wants to get into the girls bathroom I don't know )
1 shows a little blue/green on his cheek and side close to what yours is showing
and the last one is 2+ times as big and showing lots of color everywhere

What are you feeding the third guy to get him twice as big!! Let me in on the secret lol!!

he eats the same cricket/fly as the others just 3x as many
when they where small it was a competition for food
but now he is in his own cage and just being a pig

My panther didn't have much color until he was 5 months or so, then his colors shifted and changed after each shed.

For so,e reason I thought 3 months was the norm for coloring up. Thought my lil guy was falling behind or stressed or sick. Thank you for your input on your experience
