coloring questions

so i have a male panter about 5 1/2 mths old. when i got him and opened up the bag he came in he did have the red showing up on him. but now the only colors i see are really dark lol and then a white almost turquiose blue by the white strips. his eye will get a bit of red around it as well. and at night he will get almost white. he does change to a variety of green colors.
but i am wanting ot know when he will start to show all these pretty colors i see other panthers do? is he old enough to do them and just hasn't been irritated enough to do them? i don't want to stress him is that the only way that he will show me his beautiful colors?

What type of panther is he? Just out of curiosity.

Some panthers wont show the VERY BEAUTIFUL colors until they are triggered by going outside, seeing a female, or seeing another male.(Or something to that extent). All chameleons are different, and some dont color up very beautiful until they are older, and some get it right away.

an easy way to post pictures is to get a photo bucket account (free) then when you post copy the link onto the area that comes up when you click on the mountain with sun icon in yellow
