colour

So I've had my panther chameleon for a little over a month hes a male but I find he doesn't change colours he normally stays a light brownish grey with dark spots on him and while feeding hell turn really pale with spots of a bright blue is there something im doing wrong or do not all chameleons change colours much?
Would getting him a friend help?

No panthers are solitary animals no cage mates how old is he? What local? Post a picture you very well may have a female try to get a pic of around the tail area
