Concerned about his color.

Hello,

I just got my Chameleon 9 days ago and have been taking obsessively good care of him, and witnessing him do normal Chameleon things.

However, he typically like to sit under his 60w Basking bulb for the majority of the day. I keep my apartment at 72f and the humidity 65 in his cage.

With all that being said, here is the problem. When I wake him up, he is bright normal color green and looks like he got a good night sleep. However, throughout the day he is multicolored and not his typical green. Yes he looks to be ok, but he seems he's not in the "best" mood he could be. I'm unsure of why this is.

Any tips would be appreciated.

Perhaps it's too cold for him what are the temps under the basking light? What type of chameleon do you have? Have you read this?https://www.chameleonforums.com/threads/how-to-ask-for-help.66/
