covering the sides of a screen cage

What is the easiest way to cover 3 of the sides of a screen cage? I just got 3 jacksons and it seems like their cages dont hold humidity well and wanted to cover 3 sides

I got a shower curtain and attached it via velcro to my cage.

I used the shrink wrap stuff. Works great for me, and I can just toss it once summer rolls around and the humidity goes up.

This is pretty simple really. Shower curtains have a reinforced strip across the tops to keep the grommet holes from tearing. Trim the shower curtain so it fits around the cage, grommet holes along the top of the cage sides. Run a small cable tie, piece of wire, cord, whatever through the holes, through the mesh or around the cage frame to attach the curtain to the cage along the top. Nothing says the shower curtain has to close in the cage completely, just the opposite. All the curtain is supposed to do is hold overspray, provide more surfaces for the misting water to evaporate more slowly, and slow down air exchange that tends to dry the cage out faster.

Fellow Jackson's keeper here....Live plants help somewhat but my solution has been to cover 3 sides almost completely and partially cover the front.
The idea is to maintain proper airflow by allowing gaps at the bottom, as well as retaining humidity.

Duct tape may come loose if its too near the basking bulb and it can also create a sticky mess if its wet too often. It also doesn't stick to window screen or wood very well. I find attaching through the mesh or around the frame with zip or cable ties is quick, easy, and stays put until I move it.

Does covering up the sides of the cages affect the ventilation too much? I live in Colorado so I'm always looking for ways to trap in the humidity!

Try some washers on one side and magnets on the other (washer, screen, shower curtain, magnet).

we used some sort of spline to shove the plastic into a rim in the plastic piece which there are two of on both sides of the doors as you can see. they are held by velcro and it works great.

Beside pillow cases I use lots of live plants in the cage where you literally can every find my chams sometimes they love it and it holds humidity ill post pics This is chompers cage

Hi I recently set up my first cage I went to Walmart and got a thin rubber roll meant for kitchen drawer's it's black I used Velcro but u can glue it. My place has great air conditioning plus it helps keep the humidity in. Hope the info helped you can also check bed bath beyond. I did the back Ana half way up left side but will have to do the right side the mister is soaking my furniture. Good luck.
