Hi all,

Can you put a Crested Gecko and a Jackson Chameleon together in a 18x18x36 cage? One begin nocturnal and the other being diurnal, can they live together or it would be a bad idea? Anyone tried this before? Would love to hear some thoughts on this.

Thanks.

The owner of the local pet shop is doing it both at his home and his shop and was mentioning it to me the other day so I figured I would ask the people on this forum.. no need to be a jerk about it.. if you have nothing good to say, don't say it at all

wow what a jerk lol i dont know if ud wanna do that your cham wil probibly eat your gecko. i dont now what the specs for a gecko are either.
not to mention hell probibly just keep your cham awake at night.
my guy hates to be woken up. last thought why stress ur cham like that just get a seperate cage.

I kind of figured that since Chams get easily stressed out but I guess the local pet shop owner isn't really experienced. I will keep them separate.

Thanks all.. some people are at least helpful!

Comes to show that people working at pet shops aren't really experts... hehe

Good for you for asking first. Bad idea as others have said. The shop owner will have problems sooner or later. Better safe than sorry!

I will tell him this.. what an idiot.. I especially find the people working at my local petco very incompetent

SOme chams have been known to eat other lizards.
Several peoples chams eat wild anoles.
So.. something you should keep in mind too. though I would never recommend keeping them together.
