You could also use hot glue. Does gorilla glue have a strong scent to it? it could be harmful to your crickets if it does. But i'm sure you can just let it air dry for a while before placing it on top of your container.

yeah but i dont think they will be eating the glue and my hot glue didnt want to stick even after roughing it up with a grinder maybe i will just use gorilla on the top and hot on the sides

Color does not matter. Well i'm sure you can use the gorilla glue, what i was saying was make sure it's completely dry before you attach the lid to the container as you don't want any harmful fumes around your crickets. How do you intent to keep the crickets in a warm enviroment? they really don't survive in the cold well. Having that many screens can cause it to get pretty cold quickly. I have a screen on top and it is suitable enough. I usually keep about 2000 cricks at a time in mine.

Mine are in 71-73 degrees F and they do fine, have eggs from them incubating right now.

yeah im not sure of the heat yet its get to cold here in the winter to keep them outside and i dont really want to keep them inside i was gonna try maybe heat pad underneath it as for right now im not worried about it that much i dont even have a chameleon yet im about to move in a couple of months and dont want to get it until after i move im just trying to get things set up so i dont have to spend so much money all at one time.

Just glue the screen on the outside, that way whatever glue you use will be on the outside as well ;)
