Cricket chirping keeping cham awake?

I wanted to know if a cham can get irritated by the chirping of crickets during the night. It's been 2 hours since the lights went out and when I went to check on my cham, his eyes were still partially open and looking at me. He still had his sleeping colors. But it looked like he was being kept awake by the sounds of the cricket bin next to his cage. Should I move it to another room?

Interesting question. However the answer is probably even more interesting.

I posted something about my cham hearing me come in a room. According to Tygerr, its quite possible that Chams are deaf. They don't have ear structures like other animals, which is why they have killer eyes. There is speculation that they hear through vibrations. I guess if a cricket is loud enough he might feel the vibrations!

I'm sure in nature they hear all sorts of sounds while sleeping, I wouldn't worry about it...

it probably has more to do with the actual light around his cage, like if he's in a living room, there's tv/pc/lights etc that could easily keep him up

Cams have a primitive auditory sense
they can only "hear" the low end of the sonic spectrum
cricket chirps are not going bother them at all.

although, crickets crawling over their bodies and nibbling
when they're asleep will drive them crazy.

But you might want to turn down that base bin and subwoofer Otay?
