Wow.. i went to the website to order some cricket gutload and it says they're closing - if not closed already.

This sucks :(

Does anyone have any ideas what they put in their gutload?

I know about the adcham gutload but the cricketfood.com gutload says it has 30 ingredients.

no freaking way. That sucks. I use the same thing and well i think its the best gutload out there. DAMN what am I going to do now I guess its back to thousands of different fruits and veggies clogging up my fridge. This really bums me out:( I know they use what 32 different ingredients but I dont really know whats in it. Maybe they will tell the seceret.

AHHHMAN!!! i used this stuff and and its awesome, they better tell the secret.

The website is up for sale but he clearly states that he's taking the recipe to the grave with him.

"THIS DOMAIN AND WEBSITE IS NOW FOR SALE. THE RECIPES GO TO THE GRAVE WITH ME. Email me at [email protected] if you are interested in making an offer. I will be turning off my cricketfood.com email address in the near future"

What a bummer. I use this stuff for my crix and superworms. Anyone have suggestions for other pre-made mixes?

Day man Adcham.com has a few recipies but I dont know how easy all the stuff is to get. oh and that is just my luck. I posted in that thread about what products make cham keeping easier on you. Well i posted cricketfood.com cricket gutload. SONOFA

Maybe someone from these boards should make him an offer on the Site and the recipes... I'm sure it could be a successful little business to the right person.

taking recipe to the grave? what an a-hole, what a dis-service to the herp community, what is the use of never telling anyone the recipe? thats just b.s.!!!! i wish this guy was local, i would give him a piece of my mind.

Yup, I agree. I think he was getting way too much business for one person to handle.

Doesn't The Chameleon Company use their products? That alone is a lotta chams.

Maybe he's not giving it up so he can come back some other time and start the business back up again.

Has anyone ever tried the products from Rock Solid Herpetoculture / Walkabout Farms? They have a cricket gutload for chams.

Last time I tried to order from them which was sometime this year, I paid and received nothing. I tried to also email them a bunch of times and never received a response.

Has anyone had success ordering from them?

screw him, so we have to sit around and wait for him to start back up, so we can get good nutrition for our reptiles? rediculous, selfish, inconsiderate to us loyal customers.

He's giving fair warning to stock up if it's a huge concern to you. How is he an a-hole when he won't share his recipe so that anyone can go make it and lose the chance at selling a successful business? You're over reacting. Maybe you should buy the business, then you will have the recipe.

Yeah I agree with you totally. I think he's just too stressed right now. I hope he changes his mind and keeps making the gutloads cuz i can't find anything comparable except for the one that Rock Solid Herpetoculture sells. Either that or I'd have to make one which I don't really wanna do.

Whelp, that sucks… I use his stuff for my bugs and have always been really happy with his service be it at times slow… But hey, that’s life! I always got an e-mail saying when he would ship and when it would be a little late because of him being busy and what not… As it said, it sucks that the BS of the community has driven him away...

I agree that he should probably leave his recipe with whomever buys the business because he is indeed doing us a disservice by completely removing his product but it’s his and he can do whatever he wants… There are other places to buy bug food…

Vibrant and Mika are right. Sounds like this guy went through a bunch of crap trying to supply us with something that he obviously worked hard at. Would you just give up something like that without some kind of benifit from your efforts? Being a single 25 year old hard working person trying to get by and enjoy my life I wouldnt. it might be a shame but this is how the world works.

lol, im not really that mad, i have a full bag still and im moving away from crickets, but i feel for the rest of you. i just wanted to vent, having a bad day, spilled liquid nitrogen on myself :eek:and i have no one to blame for these burns but me......... or the cricketfood guy.lol anyways.

I've known Ronnie for years and years. He and his wife are 100% solid, honest people. If he has gotten to the point that he's so fed up that he's closing his doors there is definitely a strong reason why. We should respect his decision as none of us understand what has brought him to this point of frustration as well as what it took for him to develop and refine his product over the years. Sure, no more gutload from him is a huge loss to the hobby but more so is the loss of Ronnie wanting to participate in the community.
