When gut loading our bugs, what are the favorite foods of your feeders? I have fed oranges, plums, apples, carrots, romaine lettuce, dandelion leaves, asparagus, sweet bell peppers, steamed sweet potatoes and others that I can't remember at this moment. Crickets and Dubia Roaches are the feeders I am talking about, with all of these fruits and veggies there is hands down two favorites! Oranges and Romaine lettuce!!! What are your bugs favorites? Mine will nibble on SOME of the others but there is no comparison to Oranges and Romaine Lettuce......

I have started making a veggie/fruit mash that I freeze into ice cubes. That way it covers food and hydration for them. I basically buy a bunch of different fruits and veggies and send them through the processor and dump it all into a bowl. Mix it together and freeze it in cubes. Then I put them in a ziplock and pull out as needed.

Let me tell you, there is NOTHING left of them by the time I put new ones in. Not even a stain on the cardboard where they sat. My Roaches love it. I cant really give you a recipe because it changes lol. But the last batch I made had

Collard Greens
Dandelion Greens
Mixed lettuce
Green pepper
Yellow Pepper
Cucumber
Mango
Strawberries
Orange (apparently this makes them want to make babies lol)
Blueberries
Apple
Bee Pollen

I also make dry gut load that they have all the time as well.

I usually make enough to do 24 cubes at a time give or take. I put three cubes in my roach bin every few days. I don't even have to worry about it molding since they leave not a trace ;-)

The only thing I would add is a Carrot. My roaches love them and they are good for your chameleons.

Nothing tops the list more than mango for my roaches! I don't give it to them very often because I don't like mango so I never buy it for myself, but maybe once or twice a year someone will offer me mangoes from their own trees and I take a few to give to my roaches.

But throw in some mango chunks and they go nuts for it! More so than with strawberries or anything else that is sweet.
