crickets digging in their dirt

well i have a sand and soil mix in my main cricket tub and i noticed about 5 or 6 crickets digging i hope this is a good sign that they are digging to lay eggs some of them already had holes dug and were sitting in it with their buts down in the holes if they are laying eggs i heard leave the sand/soil mix in the bin for a week then take it out and put it in its own bin for another week hopefully in a few weeks i have some baby crickets ile keep you guys posted on how this goes

Make sure they have plenty of food digging also implies they are eating the eggs usually they just kinda arch their bodies and stuck their ovipositor into the egg laying substrate.

Good luck crickets are tough to breed

i give them food and water daily everyday i switch what i give them like one day i give carrots next potatoes etc

Maybe because your soil is too thick and watery and portion of sand & dirty aren't balanced (I found that when mixed too much sand in it it will dig and renovate it out for it's bedding, also blocking them to stick into the dirt). you should keep your soil around 1-2inch thick. also keep your soil moist but not soaked. in addition, you should stack enough "egg carton" for them to hide and climb on. This eventually will fix the digging issue.

PS. diggin isn't really a issue, if you clean it weekly

sounds like they are laying eggs. I always have a billion crickets hatch when mine lay eggs even if some get eaten.
