CRICKETS DRIVING ME MAD!

I'm almost at the end of my tether with night time chirping! My juv cam is about three feet from my bedside. Now and then, I've to listen to the odd escapee, but when there's one in the vivarium that chirps all night long, well, that's another scenario altogether!
Is there anyway of either, no longer buying them, buying smaller, younger, wingless crixs? I currently feed Hammy with dubia loaches, grasshoppers, silkworms and waxworms. Surely, by omitting crix, wouldn't do him any harm? I don't mind instar 2 sizes.
Any advice would be much appreciated folks.
Many thanks Mark ??

I've just read they're a lot quicker due to their softer exoskeleton. I hope they are available in the UK!
Thank you

I buy all the time both small for my red eyed tree frog and medium for cam. I also buy dubia roaches, waxworms, silkworms. Someone advised me red runner roaches can replace crickets. Also banded crickets were a quiter species.

You can remove one of the back legs before placing them in the cage. Depends on if you think that's humane.
I use the Shooting Gallery feeders to seriously reduce the number of escaped crickets in my house. I have found that the large size will contain even red runners and very rarely do crickets escape to take up residence under the plants. I heard they now ship to Europe but it can take a month to arrive.

There's far too many to remove legs! I can buy red runners here in N Ireland UK ??
I'm going to phase the brown crickets out over a couple of weeks and buy banded crickets to try. They have a quiter chirp due to their softer exoskeleton apparently! I'll try red runner roaches too. I wonder if they can shack up with the dubias?

Many thanks for your advice
