Crickets

Yesterday I bought crickets because dubias aren’t really working in the feeder run cup since they don’t move a lot. He always picks off superworms and lateralis roaches and everything that moves a little more. Was wondering if crickets tend to escape or do they jump just when in danger and is it safe to leave them in the feeder run cup overnight?

It’s perfectly fine to leave them in overnight. The bullcrap people post all over the internet that crickets will eat your reptile at night is beyond ridiculous.

yes they will escape, there’s no way around that. I have tried every style of feeder run and a few escape no matter what.

One cricket ate my entire chameleon over night. Chameleon meat is part of their natural diet.

In all seriousness OP, they'll be fine. I've never had crickets bother a reptile.

You were visited by Crickzilla!?!

"Oh no, he ate my Ambilobe, no no Crickzilla! Yeah-ah-ah-ahhhhh" - Most definitely not by Blue Oyster Cult.

To the tune of this...

Yeah, I'm way off topic...again...Sorry! I also have no issue with crickets harming my Chams. I have one female that crawls into the feeder run to sleep every night, right there with the crickets. Never a bite.

My first 2 months owning Uncle Sneaky C. I used to put 40 crickets in his enclosure every other day.... Then I joined the forums, and I was woke.
