Crusty Eyes

I have a male jacksons chameleon about a year and a half old and when he sleeps at night his eyes dont appear to shut. They have been looking very crusty lately. It looks kind of like that stuff you get in your eye right when you get up. i was wondering if there was any way to treat this because it is starting to worry me.

Hi! I'm sorry your buddy is having trouble. It could be a lot of things including but not only infection. If I was you I would go see a good chameleon vet because the crust must be bothering him and if untreated could damage his eyesight. Do his eyes appear to be swollen and is he rubbing them?
