One gorgeous V. Melinus captive born yearling (gender unknown) with an advanced custom reptile cage for sale in Southeastern PA, DE or NJ (local pickup only).
This enclosure is designed with removable panels to facilitate the possibility of multiple configurations. Dimensions are 6 feet high (including the legs and lower shelves), 5 feet wide and about 3 feet deep. The lower 10 inches are a combination of plastic panels (in the rear and sides) and glass in the front which are sealed to allow an appropriate water-tight cage lining. Water runoff will go straight to the drain.
Includes:
- Solid 2X2 wood construction (stained and sealed), with FRP (Fiberglass reinforced plastic) inside panels.
- Removable Plexiglas side panels.
- Massive 29X25 inch sliding glass doors allow maximum viewing area.
- ½ X 1 inch PVC coated mesh on inner side-walls for climbing as well as for Pothos and other vines to attach and grow on.
- Pro Heat 110 watt radiant heat panel. Top can be easily reconfigured to support heat lamps if desired, (framed mesh top included).
- Removable FRP panels to facilitate multiple configurations.
- ProMist misting system fully installed with 2 nozzles and digital timer.
- Two T12 Reptisun 5.0 tubes housed directly in the enclosure with Mylar ceiling for optimal lighting.
- Foster and Smith Coralife E-Z ballast kit.
- Jumbo virgin cork-bark flats and large tree branch situated for climbing/basking.
Yellow (Quince) Monitors are very docile animals and are fascinating to keep and study. I have owned this animal since it was 3 weeks old and it has never shown signs of aggression and is easily handled. Note that any monitor can eventually bite (feeding accidents or if the animal is startled). This beautiful monitor is one year old now and exhibits amazing yellow and black coloration along with a great appetite.
Regardless of the fact that this species is well known for being very calm and handle-able, I will not consider selling to minors or any individual without appropriate experience. Detailed growth chart and temperature records will be provided.
Much expense and hard work went into designing and building this enclosure. The price for this amazing enclosure is $1999.00 OBO (with the Quince monitor included).
