Cut on Harold's foot

I believe he got this cut from some fishing wire I used to hang branches. Since then I covered up fishing wire with duct tape. I've been putting neosporin on the cut for about 4 weeks. It's just not getting better. He can still grasp with the foot but not very strong. Any recommended treatments? Here are some pics.

I don't have any specific experience with cuts, but I would say treating with Neosporin was a good first step. However, if after four weeks of treatment you have not seen improvement I would recommend taking him to a vet. The vet will be better able to assess the severity of the wound and should be able to prescribe different treatments if they deem it necessary. Chams do heal slowly, but I would expect to see some improvement after four weeks.

Hopefully another member with experience of open wounds or a vet will chime in.

He has 2 nails on that foot left. He lost some nails early on by climbing the cage. some grew back... But this does look like gout from the pictures. Sounds like I better take him to the vet. Is it curable?
