my cham has cuts he might have gotten them from climbing my blinds, on the inside of his front paws, i have been putting polysporen on it. am i doing the right thing or wrong thing plus im soakeing them in warm water hes had them for about a week whats the best way to help him heal he loves to climb high and is curious as ever so hes not giving any time for them to heal except when hes sleeping any help would be nice.... thanks joy

I would certainly keep him off of the blinds forever. I am not sure soaking is the best thing either. If the polysporin is not working a Vet visit may be in order.

Sometimes chams, especially veileds, do love their windows. I agree with Julirs, no sharp edged blinds for soft chameleon feet. We have the inexpensive wood (or faux wood) blinds on the window our cham likes to climb. The edges are thick, smooth, and rounded. If your cham must have the window (and I can understand, once he's been there, it would definitely become one of his "happy places") then you may wish to pick up the wood-type blind. They are available at the home improvement stores, and probably other reasonable places. They look good, too.

the worst thing i ever did was let my cham climb on the blinds because now everytime i bring he out he heads straight for them and i can never get him off!
