i have a 6 month old panther,
i am going to start cutting his food intake, he has been eating about 10-20 medium crickets a day and 2-4 silkworms a day along wiht an occasional waxworm. what should i cut his food intake down to? i feed him crickets and silkworms as staples.

Ditto LPR, about half. I would get a good scale that has accuracy to within a gram or so. LLLreptile has them for around $15 I think. I would start charting his weight just to be sure your not cutting it too much. Good luck. David

Ya, knowing the weight helps when cutting down the food. About halfway cutting it back as of now should be fine.

not trying to play devil's advocate here.
i say feed him 5 a day on a 3-4 week cricket (1/2 - 3/4" size).
by 12 months old, you can start feeding him every other day.

yea i was thinking that. id honestly feel bad if i just stopped feeding him that rapidly. lol hed look so hungry. but yea im gonnna cut it to 5-8 a day right now, then get the scale and start cutting it to what it should be.
how much is a normal weight of a 6 months old panther chameleon in grams. how much should theyre weight go up each month ? and when should it stop?
