Cutting out the cricket enclosure

I am looking to build a new cricket keeper like this one http://web.archive.org/web/20060521...com/husbandry/index.php?show=Cricket.Box.html

Last time we made a cricket enclosure, we just used a knife to cut throught the tough plastic, and our friend almost cut his hand off we almost gave up until I thought to heat up the plastic first with a lighter. But it took forever!!

So, I was wondering, how do you guys cut the plastic?

Dremmel tool with the cutoff wheel.

jigsaw or a rotozip work too as well as the dremel. they are a little more heavy duty and worth the expense if you actually plan on using them. if you dont have any of these tools i would go for the dremel. it is very cool. tons of attachments for hobby type jobs.

Thanks, I don't know anything about those tools, but I'm sure my boyfriend does!! I will post pics eventually, but it is getting close to the end of the term and I have a ton of homework, so this project might be delayed a bit. I wish I could take a class on chameleons, that would be AWESOME!!

And when i cut mine i just stuck one end of heavy duty scissors through the container, and then cut till i had my square.

i use a box cutter - pretty simple, not so dangerous
