Dandelion leaves for Silkworms?

I swear I remember someone saying that silkworms will eat dandelion leaves. Is this true because those damn things are all over my front yard.

Ive had them eat shredded carrots and collard greens they might but they dont live long eating this diet believe me i've tried.

This maybe a bit off topic but gypsy moth catapillars or tent catapillars has anybody ever used these for food?

Well I have chow in the fridge but I was just wondering if I threw some in there if they would eat them.

They may but6 i would stick to the chow it keeps them healthy but you can feed it to your crix or roaches.

YES they eat dandelion leaves. I now feed my silkworms dandelion 50% of the time after they reach 1cm in length. No ill effect results. They still grow fine on this diet.

Not suggested. At the very least, the hairs on the tent caterpillar can be irritating.
