It has been really hard the past two years without you. I searched for you for months, and still do now, even though I gave up hope once the first winter hit. You were an awesome, grumpy chameleon and you introduced me to a brilliant new species I never thought I would enjoy. We decided to finally find a new chameleon a couple days ago and it just stirs up so many memories of when you were a baby... it's really exciting but it hurts so bad, too.

I miss you Ernie.

We stuck with veiled chameleons because we think they are so cool, but got a boy instead of a girl. His name is Sterling. He's doing great!
