For Sale: Custom Built Automated Deluxe Chameleon Environment (Full Set Up) with many extras - Asking $350... Priced to move quick!
After 5 years and four different designs, I created this environment to keep the daily maintenance to a minimum while provide the best possible environment for my Veiled to thrive.
The lights and heater lamps are fully automated to mimic the sun in the natural world. They come on in the morning on a low setting, gradually get brighter /warmer throughout the day and ramp down in the early evening. The two temperature probes ensure proper basking spot temperature, and make sure the environment doesn't get too cold at night.
The watering system is designed with two different timers for (some) fault protection. One controls the misting system and can be programmed to come on several times per day and the second timer refills the drip system to provide fresh water once a day. The whole watering system is designed to only need to be filled once a week, but could be tweaked for more or less time between refills.
The enclosure is large to provide plenty of exploring/hunting room both vertically and horizontally. The screen is teflon coated, much stronger than the normal house screen, and will not allow medium size crickets to escape (1/8th grid). The enclosure could be divided to provide two separate units with little effort. The PVC drip pan and backsplash system is designed to keep the water in the cage and drain quickly to prevent mold growth. The catch bucket only needs to be dumped once a week. There is also a pan frame designed to properly support the weight of an egg laying bin as my female laid eggs 3-4 times per year.
Originally designed to fit a TV armoire to gain spousal approval. The armoire is no longer available due to a recent house move, plus I was working on design #6 which was going to be partially free range. That said - You could adapt the cage to the right sized armoire again which are readily available on Craigslist for cheap. So the armoire and metal rack in the pics are not available as part of the deal.

***Please note*** Automation does "NOT" mean you don't have to check on the system once or more times per day. I built this setup to make the daily care easier, but it's no substitute for PROPER chameleon husbandry. Even when I went out of town I had a pet sitter properly trained on how to care for my Chameleon, a webcam for daily remote monitoring, and remote access to the vivarium controller in case I need to make adjustments.
FYI: I'm not interested in selling individual parts and I'm located in Southern California, Glendora where the 210 and the 57 freeways intersect.
