Next time your chopping carrots up for your insects or for dinner, save about an inch to an inch & 1/2 of the top and let it dry for about 3 days. Get a 4 inch pot and fill with soil, make a hole for the carrot top to go in and cover just barely to the top but not all the way, you should still be able to see the very top. Greens will grow from the top, then you just clip and gut load your insects with them. It’s a great way to insure your insects are getting the best nutrition from carrots. Like I said, the greens are 10 times more nutritious and have less carbs also. So save those carrot tops!!!
