Next time your chopping carrots up for your insects or for dinner, save about an inch to an inch & 1/2 of the top and let it dry for about 3 days. Get a 4 inch pot and fill with soil, make a hole for the carrot top to go in and cover just barely to the top but not all the way, you should still be able to see the very top. Greens will grow from the top, then you just clip and gut load your insects with them. It’s a great way to insure your insects are getting the best nutrition from carrots. Like I said, the greens are 10 times more nutritious and have less carbs also. So save those carrot tops!!!

You can do the same with Turnips and bok choy also. There are a ton of kitchen scraps you can regrow. Why toss them when you can reuse them.

And if you’re a salad person, the carrot greens are perfect for that also, they taste just like carrots and they don’t fall to the bottom of your bowl like actual carrots do.

OK, that's probably worthy of some kind of prize.

IME, it depends on how you prepare the carrots; sliced into discs, they may settle. Angle, shaved, grated, julienned... not so much. But that takes time... like trying to regrow kitchen scraps! 😁
